SMSA Goals
• The aim of the Solihull Moors Supporters Association is to support and promote Solihull Moors Football Club and to serve our members’ interests.
• To arrange transport to away matches for Solihull Moors supporters where viable.
• We will raise funds and take part in community events to raise awareness of the football club and the association within the community.
• We will try to foster good relationships between all football fans.
The SMSA is a non-profit making organisation which looks to reinvest our funds into the work of Solihull Moors Football Club and its supporters.
If you would like to join the SMSA then you can do so by becoming a My Moors Member. Details of the scheme, how to join and the annual membership rates can be found in the SMSA My Moors Membership 2020/21 section of the club website.
Due to the current Coronavirus restrictions we have given all of our existing MMM members free membership for this season. In addition, we are offering a discounted rate of just £3 for the season to anyone that would like to join our highly successful organisation.
As an Association we look to support the whole Solihull Moors family, not just the first team. In the past, we have been the player of the match sponsor for the Women’s team and sponsored the player of the week in the various junior teams.
Last season we sponsored the player of the week award for the Community section of the club. This season due to the current circumstances we all find ourselves in, such initiatives are being held in abeyance but we stand ready to continue our support once the various arms of the Moors Family are able to return to doing the activities they enjoy.
We also look forward to again being able to support fundraising events such as the Ability Counts annual George Best tournament and the Nick Mowl Cup. Our members also volunteer to help out at these events and other weekly Community activities. If you would like to help out please contact us, our details can be found at the foot of this information.
The one area that we can currently be active in by raising funds and promoting is the Moors Foundation, the club’s official charity that helps others both locally and abroad. Again, if you would like to help this charity then please contact us.
The supporters of the football club are our main focus. As an Association we will always look to represent the views of Solihull Moors fans. We endeavour to run good value coach trips to the men’s first team away games. For the last two seasons we have laid on coaches to every away game including our very first international trip to Scotland.
MMM members always get a discount on the price of a coach seat. Sadly, we are unable to attend away games at present but rest assured as soon as we are able to do so we will have our fans’ coaches back following the team.
We also sponsor a first-team player's away shirt to show our support for the Moors on the road. Another saving that MMM members can make is in the club shop. On production of your MMM card, you can get a 5% discount on most items and with the introduction of the online shop the same discount can be obtained by entering the MMM code that all members are given upon joining.
We hold quarterly draws for our members were exclusive prizes can be won. The SMSA has an active social media presence where you can keep up to date with everything relating to the SMSA, Solihull Moors and non-league football in general.
Find us on Twitter at @MoorsFans and on Facebook at Solihull Moors Fans. The SMSA is led by a committee that meets when able on a monthly basis during the football season and on an occasional basis outside of that time. It also has active subgroups that meet regularly.
The current committee members are Chairperson, Gary Armstrong; Treasurer, Chloe Molyneux; Secretary, Barbara Armstrong; Away Travel Group, Dave Tait, Mark Henderson & Simon Gray; Social Media & Communications, Barry Molyneux; Community, Joe Butler. For away travel information, please text 07988 579 408.
