MAISIE MCDONNELL DIDN'T HAVE TO VENTURE FAR WHEN SHE SWAPPED SOLIHULL SPORTING FOR MOORS ON 19 JULY 2019.

The midfielder made 15 appearances for Sporting during the 2018/19 campaign, scoring twice, and McDonnell was a rare bright spark in an underperforming Sporting side.

In fact, Sporting finished bottom of the West Midlands Regional Women’s Football League Division 1 South and it was time for McDonnell to move elsewhere.

She wasn't short of offers with a whole host of Women’s National League clubs chasing her signature but, ultimately it was Moors who came out on top.

McDonnell's decision to join Moors saw her jump two divisions but the step up hasn't fazed her as she starred both on and off the pitch in her first year with the Moors.

Her endeavour and commitment to the club were recognised as she scooped the Community Award at the end of the season.
