Moor than Eleven

The Solihull Moors Foundation is at the forefront of the club’s endeavours when it comes to working within the local community.

Community Moors have merged with the Foundation and there is now a big collective effort to ensure the club continues to find ways to support the Solihull area.

Inclusion and Inclusivity are the key. Moors work tirelessly to ensure everybody is looked after and that every individual is made to feel valued by the club.

It is important to all staff that the club does its upmost to help in the community and all connected to the Moors are focused on improving the lives of those around them.

From the chairman and the board to the players and coaches, everybody aims to inspire and create opportunities for the wider community.

Community Activity

The club is proud of its collaboration with over 25 schools within the Solihull catchment area and is actively involved in promoting educational campaigns.

Moors take a strong stance on anti-bullying, healthy eating and encouraging children to capitalise fully on their education.

Social inclusion is a top priority for the Foundation, finding a focus for those youngsters who may have lost their way in life.

Channelling youngsters’ energy into something positive is a main goal of the clubs’ activities in the community.

Ability Counts

At Moors, everybody counts and everybody deserves a chance. 80 players, both children and adults are given access to football thanks to the scheme.

The initiative grants everyone the opportunity to lace up their football boots and experience playing the beautiful game.

All physical and learning disabilities can be managed by Moors’ community staff to ensure nobody misses out.

Community Hub

The Hub focuses its efforts on offering necessary services to the local community and those involved in the project, ensure those in need are the priority.

Whether it be Play and Stay groups or Luncheon clubs, the Foundation strives to create opportunities for a wide range of people.

Fundraising events are regularly organised by the Hub and such efforts ensure Moors’ philosophy of giving back to the community is faithfully upheld.

Youth and Juniors

Moors take great heart from their involvement in youth football and the club currently has 81 junior teams on its books.

No matter ability or age, the door is open for youngsters to get involved. The Moors cater for players from six to 16 years old, accommodating boys, girls and mixed teams.

The program focuses on football and education but also plays a pivotal role in the development of local talent.
